Domača granola.

Ugotovila sem, da moram, čim bo mogoče, kupiti en velik mikser. Sanjam itak o KitchenAidu. In to o živo rdečem. Tudi zato, da zaradi mering ne bom skoraj prekurila paličnega (tokrat sem bila res blizu!) in nato na vse možne načine beljake noro stepala na roke (in valda mi jih na koncu ni uspelo stepsti). Se ne bom čudila, če bom jutri imela musklfibr.

Kakor koli, nazadnje sem pisala o domačih novoletnih darilih. Letos sem kuhala jabolčno marmelado in pekla granolo. Za slednjo pravijo, da je res dobra. Pa vam zaupam recept (če jo boste delali, so feedbacki več kot dobrodošli).

V veliki posodi (količinsko čisto po občutku in notri naj gre vse tisto, kar imate pač radi) zmešaj:

  • okoli pol kile ovsenih kosmičev
  • 10 dag kokosovih kosmičev
  • 10 dag lešnikov (zdrobi jih z valarjem)
  • 10 dag mandljev (tudi njih zdrobi)
  • 10 dag sončničnih semen
  • 3 žlice medu (kot veste, ga lahko izpustite ali nadomestite, recimo, z agavinim sirupom ali čem drugim, pa imate vegan granolo)
  • 1 žlica rastlinskega olja

Vse skupaj stresi v pekač in peci dobro uro na 150 °C do zlate barve. Vmes večkrat premešaj, da se ne zasmodi. Po dobri uri pekač vzemi iz pečice in ga pusti čez noč na pultu, da se granola do konca posuši. To zato, da postane hrustljava. Na koncu notri vrži še na koščke narezane suhe marelice.

Variacij na temo granole je res ogromno. Pa si naredite zajtrk po meri!  In to z veliko ljubezni!

Ingredients for homemade granola.

In a big bowl mix together (except dried apricots):

  • 500 g rolled oats
  • 100 g coconut chips
  • 100 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 100 g chopped almonds
  • 3 tablespoons honey (as you know, if you miss honey or substitute it with agave syrup, it’s vegan)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 100 g chopped dried apricots

Put the mixture on a baking sheet and put into the oven for about 60 minutes  at 150°C (till nice golden color). Don’t forget to stir every 15 minutes. After baking, let granola on a baking sheet overnight so that it will be crunchy. Finally, add dried apricots. That’s it! As you can imagine, you can make as many variations as you want. Just mix together what you like the most. So simple and easy.
